2016 Ductless Rebates and Tax Credits
Ductless rebates aren’t the only way to save!
If you operate a commercial space, you may also be able to take advantage of newly renewed energy efficiency tax credits through the federal government. These credits are available through December 31, 2016 (and are retroactively available to January 1, 2015) for businesses and vary based on measured energy efficiency. A tax deduction of $1.80 per square foot is available to owners of new or existing buildings who install heating, cooling, ventilation, or hot water systems that reduce the building’s total energy and power cost by 50% or more in comparison to a building meeting minimum requirements set by ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2001.
Deductions of $0.60 per square foot are available to owners of buildings in which individual heating and cooling systems meet target levels that would reasonably contribute to an overall building savings of 50% if additional systems were installed.
These options don’t include the operational savings you’ll see by moving to a ductless system for either primary or supplementary heating and cooling.
If you would like more information about ductless systems for your home or business, or would like to talk with someone about how the ductless rebates and incentive programs can work for you, please give us a call at New England Ductless at (781) 995-2665.
